Hello from Amanda
The Almands and me: Mark, Alyssa, Reid, Kathryn, me and Erin. Sorry I'm not smiling - at the time I was busy trying to figure out what my camera was doing.

Hey guys! So, I haven't started the countdown yet, but I'm glad to see that Chelcee has. I thought it was probably way past time to share about me.
So, let me start with my family - I'm the eldest, about to turn 25 (May 16th, thanks for asking) and have been out of college for a couple of years now. My sister, Alexis, is going to graduate from William and Mary in about a month. I'm really excited for her. This is my family: My Dad, me, my mom, and in the front Alexis and Eva - Eva's a sophmore at Allegheny College in Pennsylvania.

This trip will be my first Ambassador trip, though not my first mission trip. My first mission trip ever was a First Year Missionary internship with AIM in Matamoros, Mexico, in 2003. God knows how (litterally), but I ended up sticking around AIM for the last few years. I've done a short stint in Swaziland and Philly, but mostly I've been living and working here in Mexico for the past few years. Y, si, hablo espanol.
I too, like the Almands, have met Miguel and Kristen, who will be helping us get around some in the DR. They are fabulous people, and old friends - we use to work together in Mexico. Here's a pretty good picture, from a couple years ago:

So, I think that's it for now. I know you all probably thinking of more and more questions everyday, and I know that we'll talk a lot more before we get to Georgia. I'm looking forward to it!
